In the Construction industry, Quality is the performance of the tasks that ensure that construction is performed according to plans and specifications, within a defined budget, and within a safe work environment.
One of the pillars of the project delivery process is managing the quality of the product or service a construction company provides. The project specifications generally spell out the quality standards for the project and, by reference, become a part of the contract between the project owner and the contractor.
The specifications usually reference some standards, such as IS Code or other organizations that spell out quality or workmanship standards.
